Following the 2016 election, artist Kasey Jones and photographer Emily Webb felt the need to speak out for minority groups in the Athens area. They co-curated “In the Margins,” an exhibition of art with themes of marginalized groups.

My mom came to Reading to visit on my birthday, and while she was here, we hiked the 11-mile Neversink Loop. The hike was gorgeous until we got caught in a thunderstorm while still more than two miles from the car. Here are the photos I took before I began to fear for my camera’s safety.

Many Ohioans are unable to name their elected representative or even identify which of the state’s 99 districts they live in.

Despite this lack of recognition, Ohio’s state legislators, both in the House and the Senate, put significantly more time into their jobs than legislators in many other states do, from deciding how to vote to simply finding a way to get to and from the statehouse.
