My mom came to Reading to visit on my birthday, and while she was here, we hiked the 11-mile Neversink Loop. The hike was gorgeous until we got caught in a thunderstorm while still more than two miles from the car. Here are the photos I took before I began to fear for my camera’s safety.
The beginning (and end) of the trail runs parallel to the Schuylkill River.
There’s a graffiti-covered tunnel that connects the Exeter Trail to the Neversink Loop.
One of my favorite parts of the trail was when it turned into a sort of tunnel of bushes and grass.
There was a deer here that ran away right before I took off my lens cap.
There’s a great view of other mountains (and power lines) from the trail.
This was the last decent photo I got before the downpour started.
